Looking through view magazine

For some current research i went into the library and picked up a few issues of View magazine to look at the knit trends and forecasts

I was pleased to find a lot about yarns and sustainability as its something i am really interested in within my work

There was also about about 3D geometric knits with fitted in perfectly with my current project urban structures so it was good to see some of the knits that had been shown in View.

It was really helpful for me to be able to get an idea of garment shapes that would work for my structure theme as well and also helped me to visualise the size and scale of my fabrics.

I loved this piece above and below i really like how it has been knitted but then sewn together to create the structure almost like a smocking effect

The picture below is also something I've been looking at and thats how i join pieces of my knitting together and how the join can become apart of the knitting and not just a way of fixing something together.
